Software Engineer, Product
Responsibilities:
- Develop full-stack web and mobile applications using a variety of programming languages.
- Create innovative consumer products and features with internal language Hack.
- Build intuitive web and mobile interfaces using XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Design teams to define feature specifications and develop products using frameworks like React and React Native.
- Partner with operations and infrastructure teams to design, build, and scale back-end services.
- Develop and maintain reporting interfaces and data feeds.
- Take ownership of specific components, features, or systems with a deep, end-to-end understanding.
- Lead projects of large scope, delivering results while maintaining consistent high productivity.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience programming in relevant languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Hack).
- 6+ years of experience building large-scale applications or similar systems.
- Proven track record as an owner of a component, feature, or system.
- Experience delivering projects of significant scope, meeting deadlines and high standards.
- Demonstrated ability to build and ship high-quality work with a focus on reliability.
- History of setting technical direction, driving consensus, and fostering successful cross-functional partnerships.
- Expertise in improving code quality through reviews, testing, rollout, and proactive maintenance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to the architectural patterns of large-scale software applications.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Swift, or Kotlin.
- Experience building high-impact consumer applications that are widely used.
